Associate Director:  Louis Gerstenfeld, PhD; lgersten@bu.edu

Core Manager:  Chris Constantinou; BoneCell@bu.edu

Mission

  1. Provide high quality skeletally derived (osteoblasts, osteoclasts, bone marrow stromal cells and osteocytes)
  2. Provide and process clinical bone samples (whole bone marrow, bone marrow stromal cells, bone chips)
  3. Provide protocols and training for isolating, characterizing and isolating skeletally derived cells
  4. Develop novel techniques for isolating and studying bone cells
